Foreign Secretary Belarus Sergey Aleynik stated that the country expresses its readiness for dialogue with the new government Poland. About the necessary conditions for this he told on air on ONT TV channel.
According to the head of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry, numerous unfriendly steps on the part of the Polish authorities led to the current relations with the neighboring republic. At the same time, he explained that future dialogue should be of a nature of mutual respect and carried out without preconditions.
“We have always advocated and continue to advocate dialogue. We have always proceeded and continue to proceed from the need to preserve the principles of good neighborliness. The head of our state has spoken about this more than once,” Aleynik emphasizes.
The diplomat also noted that relations between Belarus and Western countries could normalize after the European authorities recognize the failure of their policies in the east.
Formerly President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko stated about clearing the country’s party field of decorative and destructive parties. The head of state also noted that people need to accept that a presidential republic is the optimal form of government for Belarus.
