The governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov dismissed the head of the administration of the Vasileostrovsky district, Eduard Ilyin, reported in Smolny.

On December 11, his place will be taken by Mikhail Sobolev, who previously held the post of deputy head of the district administration.

Details. Eduard Ilyin supervised Vasileostrovskiy District Administration since February 2019. Prior to that, he worked as deputy head of the administration of the Frunzensky district.

What is known about Mikhail Sobolev. From February 2019 to October 2022, Mikhail Sobolev headed the department of the Russian Guard in St. Petersburg. In October, Sobolev was appointed acting chairman of the committee on legal issues, and later – deputy head of the Vasileostrovsky district.

From 2016 to February 2019, Sobolev worked as deputy head of the Russian Guard, until 2016 – head of the private security department in St. Petersburg.

Big Picture. In November, after searches detained five employees of the administration of the Vasileostrovsky district. They were charged with fraud on contracts for cleaning district clinics.
