Chapter RF IC Alexander Bastrykin ordered to start an investigation in connection with the desecration of Russian the state flag in the capital of Finland during mass processions. The corresponding message was published in the Telegram channel of the Investigative Committee.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on December 6, during mass processions held in Helsinki on the occasion of Finland’s Independence Day, a group of people burned the Russian flag. The Foreign Ministry added that Russia demands from the authorities of the republic to bring the perpetrators to justice.
“The Chairman of the Russian Investigative Committee instructed to organize an investigation into the desecration of the state flag of Russia in Finland,” the statement said.
It is emphasized that it was instructed to request the necessary data from the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
As the Public News Service wrote earlier, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation commented burning Russian flag during mass marches in Helsinki. The department considered this incident an unacceptable act of desecration of the symbol of Russia.
