Azerbaijan has already allocated 6.5 billion dollars for the restoration of Karabakh, and by the end of 2023 the amount will increase to 7 billion, said the country’s Finance Minister Samir Sharifov, reports RIA News.
“To date, 11 billion manats ($6.5 billion) have been spent on the restoration of liberated territories. It is expected that by the end of this year these funds will reach 12 billion manats ($7 billion),” Sharifov said.
According to him, the reintegration of Karabakh into the country’s economy will be the main priority Baku in the coming years.
Previously, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev raised flag of Azerbaijan in Khankendi (Stepanakert) – the former capital of the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic. He also statedthat “the topic of the Karabakh conflict is completely closed.”
September 28, the head of Nagorno-Karabakh Samvel Shahramanyan as a result of another aggravation of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan signed decree ending the existence of the republic.
