Heavy rainfall is falling all over Moscow. The corresponding statement was made by representatives of the city administration complex of the capital’s mayor’s office. They published a post about this in the department’s Telegram channel.
“Across the capital, there are super-intensive precipitation. “According to weather forecasts, by morning the total amount of precipitation per day could reach more than 40 percent of the monthly norm,” the authorities said in a warning addressed to Muscovites.
The publication also notes that during the day the increase in snow in a number of areas of the city was more than 16 centimeters. Nevertheless, the positive air temperature leads to intensive melting of the fallen snow, representatives of the complex emphasized. They also reported that about 300 brigades and 290 pieces of equipment were on duty on the streets of Moscow.
“Specialists ensure the prompt passage of precipitation and melt water into the storm network,” the ministry said in a statement.
Earlier, the Public News Service reported that Roman Vilfand, scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center, warned that strong precipitation.
