Ministry of Energy Austria announced its intention to allocate Ukraine 5 million euros for urgent repairs of the power structure. It is reported by RIA Novosti.
According to Austrian Energy Minister Leonore Gewessler and Vice Chancellor Werner Kogler, in this way the authorities of the European country want to contribute “in support of the civilian population.”
The head of the Austrian Ministry of Energy called the decision to allocate funding to Kyiv “an act of solidarity” as part of measures to “restore the destroyed infrastructure of Ukraine.”
Earlier, the Public News Service reported that Vienna should follow the example of Budapest in the matter of procurement energy carriers. The former vice-chancellor of Austria, Heinz-Christian Strache, is sure of this.
Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto has already stated that he had a talk with Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak.
