The Argentine national team beat the Netherlands in a penalty shoot-out in the 1/4 finals of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Argentine team defender Nahuel Molina opened the scoring in the 35th minute after a pass from Lionel Messi. In addition, in the second half, Messi scored with penalty and doubled Argentina’s lead.

In the 83rd minute, Dutch striker Wout Weghorst converted one goal, and in the 90+11th minute, Weghorst scored a double after a tricky free-kick. It is noted that the teams could not determine the winner in regular time, finishing match with a score of 2:2.

In extra time, the teams failed to change the score with a draw. In the penalty shoot-out, the Argentine players showed great accuracy – 4:3.
