Ukrainian air defense on New Year’s Eve demonstrated a huge rate of fire from NASAMS missile systems. This was stated by the speaker of the Air Force of Ukraine Yuri Ignat on the air of the telethon.
He drew the attention of “Western partners” to this, who have experience in handling this system, but it is completely different.
“NASAMS barely had time to reload our servicemen. It was like they were beaten from artillery. Perhaps no one has such experience in using this air defense system: during combat, reload the complex and destroy air targets. This suggests that we simply do not have enough of them … Missiles we have, but we need more air defense systems,” said a representative of the Ukrainian army.
Recall that tonight Kyiv was subjected to massive attack drones “Geran-2”. City officials counted about 20 drones and said they were all shot down.
Later, the police of the Kyiv region showed a photo of the wreckage of one of the “Geraniums” with the inscription “Happy New Year!” on the tail.
