Ex-employee of the Ryazan colony, who received bribes worth more than 200 thousand rubles from convicted prisoners, was sentenced

The ex-employee of the correctional colony was convicted of bribery. This was reported by the website of the regional investigative committee on May 11.

The court passed a verdict against the ex-employee of PKU IK-6 of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Ryazan region. He was found guilty of taking bribes (part 2 of article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

As a correctional officer, the man received bribes from four convicts through an intermediary. Their total amount is more than 200 thousand rubles. Money was given to him for general patronage. And also for connivance in the service in the implementation of control over the serving of sentences by convicts.

The court sentenced the guilty party to a three-year suspended sentence. In addition, he was deprived of the right to hold positions in law enforcement agencies related to the exercise of the functions of a representative of power for three years. The verdict came into force.
