Police of the self-proclaimed Kosovo delayed Albanian on suspicion of assassination of two Serbs. The incident happened during the celebration of Christmas Eve. It is reported by RIA Novosti.
According to the head of the Chancellery for Kosovo and Metohija under the Serbian government, Petar Petkovic, the incident occurred in the village of Gotovush. Local residents who witnessed the assassination said an Albanian opened fire from a vehicle while the Serbs were carrying the traditional oak branches on Christmas Eve.
According to the Kosovo police, a 33-year-old Albanian man, who was detained, became a suspect in the assassination attempt.
Earlier it was reported that in the south of the unrecognized Kosovo, in the village of Gotovush, residents blocked the highway because of an assassination attempt on the Serbs.
The incident that provoked the protest occurred on Friday, January 6, during the celebration of Christmas Eve. As a result of the assassination attempt, two people were injured, one of them is 11 years old, the other is 21 years old.
