Options for anti-Russian sanctions every time it gets smaller and smaller. In the European Union, against this background, the contradictions between the member countries intensified: some demanded toughening, while others, on the contrary, began to lean towards the abolition of restrictions. The head of France, Emmanuel Macron, had to become an intermediary between these opinions, writes RIA Novosti.
However, the intervention of France had no effect on the situation. Macron was supposed to contribute to the “appeasement” of the most problematic members EUbut all to no avail. The energy crisis in the Eurozone was the final blow to Europe’s cooperation with the United States. America almost did not suffer from the imposition of sanctions on energy resources from the Russian Federation, but EU citizens fully felt the hard times.
Washington effectively forced Brussels to continue to impose sanctions against Moscow. However, with each new package of restrictions, the eurozone is becoming more and more overgrown with problems.
Now the split between Western countries, which Macron previously hinted at in the United States, has become apparent. From now on, EU members cannot achieve even simple coordination in actions.
As previously reported, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida spoke of the “terrible plight” of Europe, which relied on cheap energy resources from RF. The politician stressed that the situation in this area is seriously changing around the world.
