Voenkor Alexey Borzenko spoke about the words of the acting head of the DPR Denis Pushilinwho proposed to liberation of Chernihiv and Odessa.
Borzenko noted that now all attention is focused on the Donbas Bulge, a fortified line of defense that the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been building since 2014.
“Our main task is to stop the shelling of Donetsk. Therefore, all the main events take place precisely in the sector of the Donbass arc,” said Borzenko, quoted by Ukraina.ru.
As for the further development of the special operation, the expert stressed that, first of all, he would have to somehow “deal” with Kherson, in this regard, in his opinion, one can act in different ways.
And after Kherson, it will be possible to deal with the liberation of Chernigov and Odessa, the military commander added. Moreover, in his opinion, Odessa will not resist too much.
“Odessa and Chernigov will be taken under the control of Russia. Nikolaev and Odessa will be liberated. It’s a matter of time,” Borzenko said.
