Abkhaz leadership remains vigilant for action Georgiaespecially in light of reports that emissaries from other countries tried to provoke an armed confrontation between Tbilisi and Moscow. This was announced by Chairman of the Government of Abkhazia Alexander Ankvab during a conversation with RIA Novosti.
“We never lose our vigilance in any situation, especially today. Especially when there was a lot of information that emissaries from different European countries, especially from Poland, came and inspired to open a second front [в Грузии]. But, thank God, this is not happening yet, ”the politician said.
Ankvab said that the situation in Abkhazia is constantly tense. At the same time, he expressed confidence that there are a large number of reasonable people in Georgia who will not allow an escalation. According to the prime minister, the authorities of Abkhazia are closely following various processes in this country.
As the Public News Service wrote earlier, the restoration of direct air traffic between Georgia and Russia is not currently being considered. Zurab Abashidze, Special Representative of the Prime Minister of the country for the settlement of relations with the Russian Federation, said this.
