A Swedish driving school was fined 40 thousand crowns after a Ukrainian complained about an instructor who spoke to him in Russian. About it reports Samnytt edition.

It is noted that the Ukrainian asked the teacher to conduct classes in English or Swedish, but he refused. After this, the student wrote a complaint against the driving school. The teacher’s behavior was considered ethnic discrimination, but the instructor himself explained the refusal by his low level of Swedish language proficiency.

Previously a lecturer at a Ukrainian university suspended from work due to the use of Russian during classes. The students asked the teacher to switch to Ukrainian during the lecture, but were refused. The university administration became aware of this and decided to suspend the teacher from work.
