The memory of the veteran of the Great Patriotic War, senior navigator of the 32nd Bomber Aviation Regiment Idris Gasanovich Idrisov will now live not only in the hearts of grateful Khasavyurt residents, but also in the name of the street where he lived.

From 1942 to 1944 he took part in air battles as a gunner-radio operator of the 3rd Guards Aviation Regiment, and then as a senior navigator of the 32nd Bomber Aviation Regiment. He made more than 100 sorties behind enemy lines, was among the first to bomb Berlin.

After returning to the city, he led a number of enterprises in Khasavyurt and the Khasavyurt region – he was the director of the state farm named after. Sultanov, a bakery plant, a bakery, a city food plant, and the chairman of the district executive committee. For 30 years he was elected a deputy of the Supreme Council of the DASSR and the Khasavyurt District and City Council of Deputies.

The solemn ceremony of opening a memorial plaque in honor of the name of the street named after the veteran was attended by the Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Republic of Dagestan Muslim Telyakavov, the Mayor of Khasavyurt Korgoli Korgoliev, the Minister of Transport and Roads of the Republic of Dzhambulat Salavov, the head of the Khasavyurt district Arslanbek Alibekov, deputies of regional and city assemblies, veterans of Afghan and Hungarian events, law enforcement agencies, heads of enterprises, institutions and representatives of public organizations of the city.

“Today we have a pleasant mission – to perpetuate the memory of a man who made an invaluable contribution to the common Victory and to the development of his native city. It is symbolic that this event takes place on the eve of the 100th anniversary of the veteran. Low bow and bright memory to all the defenders of our Motherland! – noted, opening the event Korgoli Korgoliev.

Muslim Telyakavov stressed that the life of Idris Gasanovich was so complex and bright, filled with good deeds, that today it is impossible not to perpetuate his memory.
“The veteran went through the whole war. He was awarded 5 orders and more than a dozen medals. Among the state awards there is also the highest award of the USSR – the Order of Lenin. This is recognition not only of the state, but of the whole people. Our compatriot was among the first who bombed Berlin, our other compatriot, Abdulkhakim Ismailov, was among the first who hoisted the Red Banner over the Reichstag, and now, when Nazism is raising its head again, the Dagestani Nurmagomed Gadzhimagomedov was the first to receive the title of Hero of Russia. Their memory must live on!” called the Deputy Prime Minister.

“As long as there is such a good memory, their life will continue in our hearts,” continued the speech of Deputy Chairman Dzhambulat Salavov.

The initiators of the renaming of the street were thanked by the elder of the microdistrict Imampasha Chergizbiyev, as well as the son of the veteran, Honored Worker of the Public Service of the Republic Gasan Idrisov:

“My father had many awards and regalia, but he did not boast of them. First of all, he fought and worked in the name of the Fatherland. For us, dad was an example of human and professional behavior. I think this example can be used to educate the next generation. Thanks for the memory!

The event was attended by members of the Yunarmiya who read poems about the war, and the opening of the commemorative plaque took place under the volleys of weapons and ended with the laying of flowers.
