The Tula Regional Duma adopted a law that establishes a single monthly allowance in connection with the birth and upbringing of a child.


The new allowance includes all the previously existing support measures in the region. It is expected that this will make it easier to process payments. How informs the website of the regional Duma, relatives and parents will not need to collect certificates from various authorities.

The application can be submitted either electronically through the public services portal, or at the MFC, or through the personal account of the Pension and Social Insurance Fund. Other necessary documents will be used as part of interagency cooperation.

In the Tula region, they will be introduced from January 1, 2023. It will include existing support measures such as payments in connection with the birth or adoption of the first child and subsequent children, allowances for a child aged 3 to 7 years and from 8 to 17 years. The amount of the payment will be calculated from the average family income for each person. The payment will be 50%, 75% or 100% of the subsistence minimum. When calculating payments to pregnant women, the living wage is used, which is set for the working-age population; for families with children, the living wage for children will be used.

Formerly online edition “Teacher’s newspaper” reported o signing by the head of state of a law on a single allowance for families with children and pregnant women. According to the document, in Russia, from January 1, 2023, pregnant women and families with children under the age of 17 will receive a single allowance.
