A rally dedicated to the Day of the Airborne Forces was held in Spassk

On August 2, according to tradition, paratroopers of different generations gathered in Spassk near the monument to Afghan soldiers, participants in local wars and liquidators of the Chernobyl accident. Some came with their children and grandchildren, showing by their example what patriotism and pride in the glorious history of the Airborne Forces are. The rally participants honored the memory of their dead comrades with a minute of silence and laid flowers and wreaths at the monument.

Igor Tishin, head of the administration of the Spassky district, congratulated the paratroopers on the holiday:

“Dear paratroopers and veterans of the Airborne Forces! You have always been a model of heroism, resilience and selfless devotion to the Motherland. In the most difficult conditions, when performing any combat missions, you have repeatedly confirmed your right to be called the elite of the Russian army.

With all my heart I wish you good health, family well-being and a peaceful sky above your head. Let the fortress of the landing brotherhood be a guarantee of the power of our Motherland and the tranquility of its citizens.
