The subscription will be presented in two forms – for 30 and for 90 days.
According to Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport, the new concessionary pass will make trips cheaper for 20% of passengers from this category. The new subscription is more profitable than buying separate discount tickets for the metro and surface transport. With it, students of universities and schools using urban transport can collectively save more than 70 million rubles a year. It is also known that the old subscriptions for different types of transport will also remain in the tariff menu.
Students will be able to apply for a reissue of cards at the Moscow Transport service center. Upon registration, students can receive temporary travel tickets for the metro and ground transport for a paid period. You need to take your passport, student card or a certificate from the educational institution with you.
The discounted travel pass can also be purchased in the Moscow Metro and Moscow Transport apps on Android phones with NFC, at ticket offices and metro, MCC and MCD terminals, and at ticket vending machines at ground transport stops. You can buy an unlimited ticket no earlier than ten days before the expiration of the previous one.
When passing through the turnstile, its screen displays information about the number of remaining days of the subscription. You can also check the expiration date of the ticket in the Moscow Metro applications or at the yellow terminals in the metro.
Student passes for 30 and 90 days can be activated within ten days of purchase. The ticket will become valid from the first pass on it. But if the passenger does not make a single trip in ten days, the unlimited ticket is activated automatically.
