A new line will be added to payments for housing and communal services (housing and communal services), which will indicate the amount for paying for the installation, replacement and verification of smart meters in residential buildings. In accordance with this resolution, the department was instructed to provide “access to the data of” smart “meters by transferring them from the balance of the consumer to the balance of the RSO.” In addition, ministry officials were to work out “the possibility of including the costs of installing these devices in the pricing methodology for housing and communal services.”
Representatives of the Ministry of Construction told reporters that the implementation of large-scale programs for the introduction of “smart” meters is currently under development. Such innovations require additional solutions in the current economic situation.
Nikita Utkin, Director General of ANO Smart Apartment Building, clarified in a conversation with the publication that we are talking about water and heat meters. In his opinion, the measure will save the population from the worries associated with the installation, maintenance, replacement and verification of devices. In addition, in this way the state will be able to increase the transparency of the housing and communal services sector and help reduce the spending of Russians.
