According to the publication, back in 2020, the official received a bribe in the amount of more than 4 million rubles from the head of a company that supplies expensive stage equipment for city holidays. In exchange for this, Galiev promised the head of the organization patronage and indulgence during the preparation of documents for holding events.
In addition, he agreed on the improvement of public spaces in Vladivostok with performers who did not have the right to perform such work. As a result, the defendant gave them 19.5 million rubles. This amount significantly exceeds the actual cost of the project.
The operatives detained the ex-official on suspicion of fraud and bribery, after which they were placed in custody.
The Leninsky District Court decided to choose a measure of restraint for Galiyev in the form of imprisonment for a period of two months. Investigators launched an additional check to clarify all the circumstances of the incident.
