Unidentified vandals sprayed anti-Semitic graffiti on headstones at a Jewish cemetery in Cleveland, Ohio. About it reports Fox TV channel.
Vandals have spray-painted swastikas in red on several monuments. In turn, the Jewish Federation of Cleveland called the desecration of graves absolutely disgusting.
“Desecration of the memory of our elders is a cowardly act that confirms what is already known: hatred of the Jewish community here and around the world is now at a level not seen in several generations,” the organization’s press service wrote in X (formerly Twitter).
On October 31, in the 14th arrondissement of Paris, residential buildings and office buildings were subject to applied painted with the Star of David, which coincided with a surge in anti-Semitism in the country. The creation of this kind of images led to scandal and arrests. Later, similar incidents occurred in the suburbs of the French capital.
The Star of David is a six-pointed star, which in the 19th century was established as a national symbol of the Jews, and in the 20th century it was displayed on the state flag Israel. In the Nazi Germany houses where Jews lived were marked with the Star of David, which is why such actions in modern times become the subject of scandals.
