A festive concert dedicated to the Victory Day was held in Mikhailov

It took place in the municipal cultural center on May 6. The concert was attended by representatives of the regional and district authorities, public organizations, residents and guests of the city and district. The meeting was attended by First Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Ryazan Region Anna Roslyakova, Deputy of the Ryazan Regional Duma Vladimir Sidorov, Head of the Administration of the Mikhailovsky District Evgeny Sidorov, Chairman of the Mikhailovsky District Duma Alexander Kufeldt and Deputy Chairman of the Council of Veterans of the Ryazan Region Nikolai Peshkov. All of them spoke about the importance of preserving historical memory, instilling patriotism and respect for the feat of victorious soldiers. Nikolai Peshkov also noted that this year marked the 35th anniversary of the regional veterans’ organization, and presented a certificate to Vladislav Moskvitin, Chairman of the Council of Veterans of the Mikhailovsky District.

Anna Roslyakova on behalf of Governor Nikolai Lyubimov and on my own behalf, congratulated the Mikhailovites on the 77th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

“Of course, these days we remember the feat of our compatriots,” said Anna Roslyakova. – Those who fought for our country, for our freedom, thanks to whom we live today under a peaceful sky. But I cannot but say a word of gratitude to our defenders, who today continue the work of their ancestors, clearing the land of Nazism. Of course, then, in 1941, our grandfathers and great-grandfathers, grandmothers and great-grandmothers could hardly have thought that we would have to experience this again. But, unfortunately, the time has fallen to our lot when we need to prove again that the Russian people cannot be broken. I thank all the Mikhailovites for their active expression of irreconcilability with fascism. Which is not really surprising, because the city of Mikhailov during the Great Patriotic War showed an example of true heroism. Today I would like to say to our veterans, home front workers, residents of besieged Leningrad, prisoners of fascist camps – do not doubt us, in our generation. We will not shame you. You will never be ashamed of us. We try to surround you with care and attention. If we miss something somewhere, then we ask your forgiveness. Let me, on behalf of all the people of Ryazan, bow low today to our veterans. Happy holiday!

Vladimir Sidorov noted:

“We are on the eve of a great holiday – Victory Day. From year to year we come to our memorial of Military Glory, to the Eternal Flame and bow to those who gave their lives for our freedom, who defended the city of Mikhailov, the Ryazan region and our entire country. I want to say a huge thank you to all veterans.

Veterans taught us how to live, how to work, how to fight. And now our fighters are there, on the front line, defending the honor and dignity of our Motherland, and they do it with honor. I am proud to say that the Mikhailovites are in the ranks of the defenders of our Fatherland there, in Ukraine. Happy holiday to you, dear friends, happiness to you, good and peaceful sky.

Evgeny Sidorov said:

“As our clergy say, Victory Day is civil Easter. Millions of people did not return from the battlefields. Every family has been touched by the war. We must remember the exploits of our heroes, honor their memory and prevent history from being rewritten. Everything must be done to ensure that historical truth always remains true. We need to educate the younger generation in the spirit of patriotism. Mikhailovsky district, Ryazan region and our entire country – we all rallied today. We support our president and our army, which is carrying out the assigned tasks of destroying Nazism on the territory of Ukraine. I would like to wish good health to all veterans. Every meeting with them is a huge event. And eternal memory to the fallen heroes. With the upcoming great holiday, Happy Victory Day!

At the big festive concert, the artists sang songs about the war and the Victory, showed choreographic numbers. The concert ended with the composition “Victory Day”, which, following the singers, was picked up by the entire hall.
