Kuban State Medical University has developed a technology for the production of bioimplants for plastic surgery. According to the developers, the material is ten times cheaper than foreign analogues.

The novelty can be used in the reconstruction of the mammary glands, suturing hernia or during cosmetic surgery, the creators told the publication “News”.
“The cost of the developed material, for example, 7 by 10-15 cm, is from 7,000 to 10,000 rubles. A foreign analogue of this size costs about 500,000 rubles,” the head of the laboratory explained. Karina Melkonyan.
She added that biological material was taken as the basis, and a unique patented technique helps to prepare it. As a result, the implant showed an extremely high compatibility with the tissues of the human body.
