The final of the All-Russian professional competition “Flagships of additional education” of the presidential platform “Russia – a country of opportunities” is held at the Herzen Russian State Pedagogical University in St. Petersburg.

In total, 16,041 people registered for the competition. Both teams and individual participants compete for victory. According to the results of remote testing, 200 specialists and heads of additional education organizations from eight federal districts of the country passed to the final.

As specified in the press service of the Ministry of Education, most of the finalists were from St. Petersburg, the Lipetsk region and Chechnya.

The contestants demonstrate their capabilities in five areas: “Preservation of the cultural and historical heritage of the peoples of Russia”, “Achieving sustainable development goals”, “Professional self-determination of children and adolescents”, “V quarter”, “Development of scientific and technical creativity of children and adolescents” .

In each direction, 8 teams reached the final – a total of 160 people. Among the individual participants, 8 contestants came out for each track – a total of 40 people. It is worth adding that each team consists of 4 specialists who implement programs of additional education for children.

During the final, the contestants will have to pass tests on the thematic tracks “Goals and Activities” and “Decisions and Responsibility”. At the same time, before each competition, an educational session will first be held by leading experts in the field of additional education.

Based on the results of the final, five best teams will be selected to meet in the super final. It is there that the absolute winner of the competition will be determined. The winners will have the opportunity to improve their skills, and will also be included in the specialized expert network of the ecosystem of the presidential platform “Russia – the Land of Opportunities”. The winners will go on tours around Russia as part of the More than a Journey program.

Formerly online edition “Teacher’s newspaper” reportedthat the All-Russian professional competition “Flagships of additional education” is held within the framework of the federal project “Social elevators for everyone”. Among the participants who registered for the contest, the youngest was a contestant from Chechnya, 19-year-old Adam Khasinov. He is a teacher at the Republican Children’s and Youth Center. And the most experienced participant was 66-year-old Olga Klushina, who is a teacher at the Taganrog Children’s Art School.
